Cats that have accompanied us on our journey
These cats ended up with us for a variety of reasons – because no one saw them anymore, because they lost their homes, or simply because they needed help. Our own cats are an integral part of our lives, but our organization is primarily dedicated to helping those who no longer have a safe place to live.

Heinzi †
05.05.2025
Little Heinzi was found alone in the snow slush at the beginning of January – weak, with a missing piece of his tail and problems with his hind legs. We nursed him back to health and cared for him with lots of love. But there were too many neurological problems in his little body that couldn't be cured. So, with a heavy heart, we had to let him go in May -
Hobbit †
11.07.2025
Hobbit – our baby-faced grandpa. At 15, the grumpy retiree moved from the city to the countryside. He didn't like being petted, but he loved being nudged even more. He loved his little excursions and naps in the leaves, then returned to his favorite spot with half a forest on his tail. The little fighter was able to enjoy two wonderful years before cancer outgrew hi -
Minnie
Minnie has a mind of her own. She's always been a true outdoor cat – independent, free, and with a sure sense of her own territory. Sometimes she'd be gone for weeks at a time, as if exploring the world in her own unique way. Now she's found herself a new home in the neighborhood – quite naturally, just like Minnie. There, she's the boss, and her feline brother has little say ;-)
Our own cats
We also introduce our own cats here – simply because they are part of our lives. They were the reason for our club work.

Schlomi
Schlomi has been accompanying Christoph since 2018 — a Bengal cat with courage, character, and an alert gaze that misses nothing. From the very beginning, he was a curious daredevil, always ready to make the world a little bigger than it is. At the same time, he has a keen sense of closeness and seeks out moments when he just wants to be there. This mixture of adventurousness and calm has created a close bond that carries them through their everyday lives. Schlomi is more than just a cat – he is Christoph's best friend.

Wolli
Wolli is a gray British Shorthair male cat with an incredibly gentle nature. He is very shy and needs time to gain confidence, but those who know him know how lovable he really is. When he feels comfortable, he shows off his most beautiful talent: a loud, deep purr that fills any room. Wolli loves snacks more than anything—perhaps a little too much, because he carries around a small, charming belly. He is a quiet, friendly companion who gives a little warmth with every purr.
-
Bambi
Bambi is Fritzi's mother – a tiny, incredibly cuddly little creature who loves being in the thick of things. She craves closeness, attentively follows every step, and warms every moment with her gentle nature. Bambi has her own special preferences, and at the top of her list are chicken hearts – her absolute favorite treat. A delicate, loving creature whose need for affection instantly wins your heart.
-
Polly
Polly has been with Imke for two and a half years—a four-year-old cat from the animal shelter where Imke used to volunteer. She is still shy and cautious, takes slow steps, and prefers to observe the world from a safe distance. At the same time, Polly has a very loving, funny nature and always seeks out little moments of closeness. With her soft, gentle disposition, she has become a quiet but important companion in everyday life.
-
Theo
Little Theo is about a year old and was found as a stray near Harburg. He's been living with Imke since the end of 2025 and is now discovering, step by step, what a real home feels like. With his young, lively energy, Theo brings plenty of excitement to everyday life – and perhaps he'll soon become Polly's best friend. Polly, however, still prefers to watch it all from a safe distance ;-)

Fritzi †
10.11.2022
Fritzi was our curious little whirlwind. No one stole food from a plate with such charm or proudly presented their captured mice. Sadly, his life ended far too soon – he was hit by a car after less than a year. In our hearts, he will forever remain the cheeky little adventurer who made us smile every day.
